Job Summary
The Electrified Products Hardware Product Engineer will work mainly on hardware related projects and perform established technical tasks at the subsystem and / or component level.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Obtains input from stakeholders to understand and deliver information and recommendations that lead to quality product decisions.
Work with cross functional teams to implement identified hardware related changes
Apply academic knowledge and experience to make decisions that move projects forward without sacrificing quality expectations. Examples of these decisions include day to day project details, analysis or test instruction details and coordination across different disciplines necessary to make progress.
Apply and improve processes such as Engineering Standard Work (ESW), iDFMEA, Failure Incident Review Group (FIRG) and tools such as 7-step problem solving and design review checklist to support the processes and enable high quality decision making.
Provides support and guidance to influence technical direction within a project team.
Desired Skills:
Good Technical Problem-Solving Skills
Manage the development and execution of the Product Verification and Validation Plan
Experience using processes to minimize product failure modes (FMEA, FTA, DVP&R)
Experience with Product Development Execution, Monitoring and Control
Good Cross-Functional Design Integration Skills
Good Technical Documentation skills
Education Requirements
BS in Engineering or Technology desired (Other degree types and suitable experience will be considered)
