BAA is seeking an experienced Controls and Software Engineer who has a mathematical and visual method of addressing problems associated with designing complex control, signal processing and internal combustion engine diagnostic systems. The candidate would create Simulink model-based designs that are compliant with an AUTOSAR architecture. The successful candidate will lean heavily upon Matlab and Vector toolset experience. The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills and will collaborate well within a team environment.

Engineer and develop software controls and diagnostics for internal combustion engine controls
Produce Software Requirements, Interface Agreements and Verifiable Software
Design and implement software architecture
Create Software Change Requests as required
Lead efforts to perform research of controls and diagnostic methodologies for the engine systems, especially engine fuel systems and related components
Create when necessary, tuning and calibration guidelines
Pursue patent opportunities that offer comparative advantages
Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems
Experience writing software requirements and using requirements management tools such as PTC Integrity
Experience with Vector AUTOSAR toolset (PREEvision, Davinci Developer, Davinci Configurator)
Understanding of mechanical systems, especially fuel systems a plus
Knowledge of automotive communications networks including CAN
Design of Experiments, statistics, FMEA, FTA, etc.
Ability to find Root Cause and the real issues behind problems
Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree is required. Electrical engineering or computer science with embedded controls development focus preferred or mechanical engineering with actual software and controls experience
